PURPOSE:To freely register a character font of an outside character, by displaying an unregistered character (outside character) display area of a dot matrix format, onto the picture of an indicator. CONSTITUTION:On a display picture 21, an nXm dot matrix area and position 220 is displayed by lattice-like ruled lines. A registering function area 210 of the picture 21 is indicated by use of a light pen. Subsequently, an area in the lattice on the picture 21 is indicated one by one by use of a light pen, and a character font of an outside character is inputted. A CPU recognizes its coordinate, and outputs a display information which has painted completely the inside of indicated lattice-like rules lines, to a character indicator. When this processing is continued, an outside character font which has been painted out in white is formed in the dot matrix area 220 of the picture 21. |
