PURPOSE:To provide a method of continuously producing a rectangular hose, by rotating and simultaneously advancing a rectangular hose with toroidal floats attached around the hose thereby advancing the hose while rotating smoothly on a water surface to cool it. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin tape 3 that has been extruded from an extruder is wound around a molding shaft 2 of a hose molder 1 with the edges bonded to each other to form a cylindrical hose 4. Then the cylindrical hose 4 is passed through a rectangule forming apparatus 5 to be formed into a rectangular hose 6, which is then passed into a water tank 7 for cooling and taking-up. In this case, to keep the rectangular hose 6 floated on the water surface and to advance it, use are made of the annular floats 8 of foamed resin or the like, so that smooth rotation and advance of the hose can be attained. |
