PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs by estimating upstream fluid pressure of an inlet valve without using an expensive pressure sensor.SOLUTION: The brake fluid pressure control device for a vehicle includes an inlet valve 13 which is a normally opened proportional solenoid valve interposed in a fluid-pressure path leading from a fluid-pressure source to a plurality of wheel brakes, and a control portion 100 that can execute brake fluid-pressure control. The control portion 100 comprises: lock pressure estimating means 130 that estimates, from vehicle body deceleration, lock pressure which is wheel cylinder pressure at the time of switching from pressure boosting control to pressure reducing control in the brake fluid-pressure control; differential pressure estimating means 180 that estimates, from driving currents of the inlet valve 13 at the time of the switching, differential pressure between upstream and downstream sides of the inlet valve 13; and upstream fluid-pressure estimating means 140 that estimates, from the lock pressure and the differential pressure, upstream fluid-pressure of the inlet valve 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
