PURPOSE:To permit a titled device to be used with various types of wave length division multiplex systems, by constituting a device so that a fiber array can be easily installed to and removed from a casing. CONSTITUTION:A fiber array is easily retachably connected to a lens, which converts a jet beam from at least one fiber of a plural number of fibers into a parallel beam paralleling a shaft, and to casing incorporating a diffraction grating which diffracts the parallel beam in a direction corresponding to a wave length. For example, an array plug 8 matches a receptacle 9, a knob 10 and the receptacle 9 are fixed by means of screws, and the array plug can be replaced with the other, where necessary. This permits a device to flexibly correspond to a system being different in wave length, the number of multiplicities a parameter for the fiber, and a transmission direction and enables the manufacture of an optical de-multipler having a wide general-purpose property. |
