PURPOSE:To enable to perform an early detection of sodium leak in a steady manner for a long period of time, by a method wherein an electric circuit part is covered with a protecting material and a suction fan is mounted to forcibly recycle sample gas. CONSTITUTION:An intake port 2, through which sample gas is fed, is formed in an outer ion chamber 1 surrounded with a metal casing 1a, and a suction fan 4, provided with a dust removing net 3, is mounted to the intake port 2. An electrode 7 is housed in the outer ion chamber 1, and an outer radiation souce 8 is installed to the electrode (7) surface. An insulating plate 11 forms the boundary to form an inner ion chamber 12, the chamber 12 is surrounded with a metal casing 12a. An electrode 13 is housed in the inner ion chamber 12 whereto an inner radiation souce 14 is attached. Carrier gas, being of a similar type to that of sample gas, is housed in the inner ion chamber 12. An electric circuit 16, located at the insulating plate 11, is covered with a protecting material having sodium resistance. |
