PURPOSE:To stabilize silver peroxide and to reduce self-discharge by a method wherein a Cd element is contained in both of an electrolyte and silver peroxide, and a Te element and at least one of the Ta, Hg, Ge, Pb elements are contained in either an electrolyte or silver peroxide. CONSTITUTION:0.03g/l of a cadmic element is contained as a metal in an alkaline electrolyte; otherwise, 0.02g/l or more of a cadmic element for an alkaline electrolyte and 0.01wt% or more of the element for silver peroxide are contained in an alkaline electrolyte and silver peroxide, respectively. In addition, 0.02g/l or more of a telluric element for an alkaline electrolyte, or 0.01wt% or more of the element for silver peroxide is contained in at least either an alkaline electrolyte or silver peroxide. Furthermore, 0.01g/l or more of one of the elements selected including thallium, mercury, lead and germanium for an alkaline electrolyte, or 0.01wt% or more of the element for silver peroxide is contained in at least either an alkaline electrolyte or silver peroxide. |
