PURPOSE:To enable a color picture tube to be mass-produced with high accuracy by providing the peripheral flanged parts of a first and a second color selection electrodes with reference penetration holes, and fitting the projections of an insulating supporting structure into the said holes so as to constitute a color selection electrode group. CONSTITUTION:A color picture tube of focus mask type includes an electron gun 2, which is installed within the neck part of an outer case 1, and a color selection electrode group 4, which is installed near a screen 8. A first and a second color selection electrode 21 and 22 consist of porous effective parts 21a and 22a, which have a given curvature, and plain flanged parts 21b and 22b, which extend from the parts 21a and 22a and have plural reference penetration holes. They are positioned by placing an insulating supporting structure 24, which is made of ceramics and has reference projections, between them, and are assembled by being fused to a supporting structure 26. Consequently, the color picture tube can be mass-produced by assembling it with high accuracy by use of the above reference penetration holes and the above reference projections. |
