PURPOSE:To divide the appearance of a lamp into marked parts and non-marked parts, and enable the appearance test of the lamp to be carried out accurately by counting defective points discriminated by a defect discriminating circuit, and discriminating inferior appearances according to the counted value by means of an inferiority discriminating circuit. CONSTITUTION:The image signals of the points of a lamp 1 are obtained by means of an image sensor 3 placed along the central axis of the lamp 1, and are sampled with a defect discriminating circuit 6 so as to make defects to be discriminated. As to non-marked parts of the points of the lamp 1, appearance inferiorities are discriminated by counting defective points, which are discriminated with the defect discriminating circuit 6, by means of an inferiority discriminating circuit 18. As to marked parts of the points of the lamp 1, when a counted value obtained by counting defective points, which are discriminated with the circuit 6, by means of a marked-parts states discriminating circuit 19 is below a set value, marks are discriminated to be abnormal. Consequently, the appearance of the lamp 1 can be tested by examining the marked parts and the non-marked parts, respectively, according to their own conditions, and the appearance test can be carried out accurately. |
