PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance of a magnetic tape cassette storing a metallic thin film type magnetic tape, by controlling the formaldehyde extraction quantity of polyacetal resin moldings to a specific value or below. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape cassette storing a metallic thin film type magnetic tape which has improved corrosion resistance in comparatively high humidity is obtained by using polyacetal resin moldings whose formaldehyde extraction quantity is <=100 micrograms per 1 gram resin, as polyacetal resin moldings. In this way, in case when the formaldehyde extraction quantity is <=100mug/g resin, the polyacetal moldings do not exert influence on corrosion resistance of a tape. |
