PURPOSE:To eliminate the work of reinstalling a welding device in a bent part in fillet copy welding by changing the direction of a welding torch automatically when it comes to the bent part of the weld line. CONSTITUTION:A base bed 1 of a welding device is fixed at the center of the work W1 with a suction device V. While the welding point of a torch T is located in alignment to the weld line WL1, a motor M1 is run forward to turn an arm 2 clockwise. The torch T moves from below to above at a constant speed along the line WL1 and welds the work automatically by leaving the bottom end part of the line WL1 slightly. Upon abutting of the arm 2 on the perpendicular surface of the work W2 in a bent part Wa, a detector S1 outputs a signal which turns an actuator 6 clockwise and to stop the operation of the welding machine. When a supporting member 5 turns 90 deg., a detector S2 abuts on the perpendicular surface of the work W2 and outputs a signal. Then, the torch T welds the work along the line WL2 from the left to the right at a constant speed. |
