The mobile crane carries its jib folded on its platform, when moving from site to side. The counterweight is accomodated on the vehicle to be compatible with the vehicle suspension. The crane counterweight is detached & replaced by relatively simple means and the counterweight can be fastened at any position on the vehicle. The support(22) carries the counterweight(34) with an extending beam. The counterweitght is fitted on the upwards sloping support arrangement on the vehicle platform. The underside of the counterweight is inclined at the same angle. The platform surface are brought into contact and the counterweight can be subsequently folded for transport.
