PURPOSE:To perform centering operation every easily and accuratly by providing a center index optical system dedicated to the centering operation independently of a target for the measurement of the refraction characteristics of a lens to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:A refracting force measurement system is constituted by arranging on an optical axis 1 a light source 2, a target 3, a collimator lens 4, a luminous flux splitting member 5, a lens 6 to be inspected, an objective lens 7, focusing glass 8, and an eyepiece 9. On an optical axis of reflection by the luminous flux splitting member 5, a diaphragm 11, the 1st condenser lens 12, the 2nd condenser lens 13, a light source 14, and an opening plate 17 which has a small opening 17 where light from the light source is passed, thus constituting a center index optical system. When the centering of the lens 6 is carried out, the corona pattern image 15 of the target 3 and a center index 16 projected through the center index optical system are observed while superposed upon the cross pattern 10 of the focusing glass 8. After the centering operation ends, a light source 14 is turned on to project only the target image on the focusing glass 8, thereby measuring the refraction characteristics of the lens to be inspected. |
