PURPOSE:To achieve economical and safe navigation for a fleet of vessels, by forming the fleet with an attended other vessel and a plurality of unattended daughter vessels, navigating the unattended daughter vessels with a position signal from the motor vessel and making an urgent refuge navigation on emergency. CONSTITUTION:A fleet of vessels consists of one attended mother vessel 1 and a plurality of unattended daughter vessels 5. The motor vessel gives a passing point information to the daoughter vessels. The information controls the steering and engine of the daughter vessels. The daughter vessels monitor their surrounding by means of radars and the like. If any obstacle such as other ships comes to a preset range, navigation is made so that the danger can automatically be solved. Measuring information and an emergency signal from the radars of the daughter vessels are transmitted to the mother vessel, which grasps the navigation of a fleet of vessels at all times. |
