The arrangement is intended for removing (oil) particles from a liquid, e.g. an oil-water emulsion. It comprises a filter to which the liquid is fed in a container provided with an outlet for the filtered water. This filter consists of a moving belt which passes through a gap between two squeeze rollers to remove any water remaining in the filter material. After passing through this gap, the belt moves through a drying station with air blow nozzles and a station where the striker hits the belt to remove the filtered-out material. Used for the final stage in a multi-state oil-water separation unit providing effluent water quality suitable for discharge. The arrangement enables continuous filter operation without downtime for cleaning or replacement of the satd. filter.
