PURPOSE:To remove a background noise by means of simple operation, by providing a reducing circuit which decreases th pulse number of input pulse signal at an arbitrary rate and a gate circuit to which the output pulse of the reducing circuit is fed. CONSTITUTION:A series of pulse signals are obtained from an X-ray spectroscope 6. These pulse signals are fed to a pulse number reducing circuit 8 through a wave form shaping circit 7, then fed to a delay circuit 9 and a gate circuit 10. Among a series of pulse signals which are fed from the reducing circuit 8 to the gate circuit 10, those pulses entering the gate circuit 10 within a predetermined period of rime including the one just before the entry of said pulses are fed into a cathode-ray tube. The X-ray image displayed on the cathode-tube 12 can be a very clear one from which the background noise is erased because it is formed based upon the X-ray coming from the reduced distribution area. |
