PURPOSE:To enable facilitation of magnetical and mechanical balances of a stator by forming the stator pinion of each stator salient pole symmetrically with the diagonal axis of a stator iron plate. CONSTITUTION:The stator iron plate 1 of a square stepping motor has 4 or 8 stator salient poles 11-14 formed with a plurality of stator pinions 1a1-1a4 on the facing surface with a rotor. The number S of the salient poles 11-14 and the pitch TR of the teeth of the rotor are so selected as to satisfy the relationship of TR/4not equal to 360 deg./S-N.TR, where N: (number of teeth of rotor)/(integer of S). The pinion 1a1-1a4 of the salient poles 11-14 are provided in the state symmetrical with respect to the diagonal axis of the plate 1. |
