PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjusting work of an air flow rate in a rotary electric machine by partly cutting the engaging part of a wedge formed at the hole of a slot for cooling with air flow and forming a hole for attaching and detaching the wedge, thereby enabling exchange of the wedge without removing a retainer ring. CONSTITUTION:When an engaging slot 4b is formed at the hole 4a of a slot 4 for cooling with air flow and a wedge 8 for cooling with air flow is mounted at the slot 4b, thereby regulating the cooling air flow rate, the slot 4b is partly cut over a range longer than the length of one wedge 8, and a hole 12 for attaching and detaching the wedge 8 is formed. Since the wedge 8 can be attached and detached without removing a retainer ring engaged with the end of the rotor, the adjustment of the air flow rate can be facilitated. |
