<p>The invention relates to a ski safety binding having a soleplate and a front retaining device in the form of a retaining clip for inserting the tip of the ski boot. It is intended that this ski safety binding be designed in such a manner that the front retaining device satisfactorily releases the ski boot, particularly in horizontal falls and falls to the side. This is achieved according to the invention by virtue of the fact that the retaining clip is in engagement with a rotary plate via legs bent at right angles, the plate being provided on a holding device arranged on the soleplate such that it can be longitudinally adjusted and latched.
