<p>PURPOSE:To easily regenerate a cylindrical filter for collecting the particles in exhaust gas, by providing hot air blowoff ports in the filter and revolving the ports. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gas of an engine comes in through the upper side part of a filter housing 1 and then rotates a fan 5. After that, the exhaust gas passes outwards through a cylindrical filter 2 so that the exhaust gas is purified. The purified exhaust gas is released to the outisde. Hot air blowoff nozzles 4a coupled to the fan 5 are provided in the central part of the cylindrical filter 2. An electric heater 8 is provided at the axis of revolution of the nozzles 4a. When the filter 2 has been clogged with the particles, air is supplied from the bottom of the heater 8 and electric power is applied to the heater. At that time, the air is heated and blown on the filter 2 through the blowoff nozzles 4a to burn carbon, etc. to regenerate the filter. Since the nozzles 4a are revolved by the fan 5, the filter 2 is uniformly regenerated along the total circumference.</p> |
