The horticultural greenhouse has part of the outside walls of porous material. This can be selectively permeable to electromagnetic radiation and visible light, and impermeable to infra-red light. The visible light can be absorbed inside the greenhouse, and the material with which it is filled can be removed naturall or mechanically, and returned again via the entire porous surface. The design combines min. energy loss via the roof and gables with min. hindrance to the incoming light.
