PURPOSE:To suppress a tracking error due to eccentricity by adding a position signal stored in a correction control circuit to a position signal outputted from a servo decoding circuit after inverting the polarity of the former signal, and thus controlling a driving means. CONSTITUTION:Servo data for indicating a head position, written on a disk 11, is read by a servo head 13 and converted by a servo decoding circuit 18 into a position signal 12, which while supplied to a servo-control circuit 17, is stored in an eccentricity correction control circuit 21. The servo-control circuit 17 adds the position signal stored in the circuit 21 to a position signal sent from the servo decoding circuit 18 after inverting the polarity of the former signal, and supplies a current to a voice coil 16 on the basis of the sum position signal to exercise control so that a positioning error is eliminated, nearly eliminating the extent of eccentricity. |
