摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the abnormal damages at the bottom of a blast furnace effectively by using SiC-C type bricks of high SiC content in the specific places including the well part and bottom part of the blast furnace consisting of carbon bricks. CONSTITUTION:Carbon bricks 6 are stacked via shell side stamping materials 4 on the inner side of a shell 2, whereby side walls 8 of a well part and a furnace bottom part 10 are formed. Here, the inner bricks 14 in the lowermost step of the walls 8 and the bricks of the one or two steps including the uppermost step in the part 10 below the bricks 14 are constituted of SiC-C type bricks 12 of >=30wt% SiC. In the part 10, the bricks 6 are lined with stamping materials 16 on the inner side of the furnace that absorb the expansion of the bottom refractories. These make it possible to make the abnormally damaged parts as shown by a dotted line A generated when only the bricks 6 are used to the normal damaged parts shown by an alternate long and short dash line B, and to prevent further erosion.
