PURPOSE:To position easily the direction of the maximum light quantity of a bar-shaped light emitting material in a desired direction in an original reading and exposing device by using the bar-shaped light emitting material which is so constituted that the light quantity around the axis is not uniform and is maximum only in one direction. CONSTITUTION:For the purpose of maximizing the light quantity on an original scanning line 4 exposed by a fluorescent tube 11 to obtain a proper original image, a means is provided which turns the fluorescent tube 11 around the axis and fix it in a proper position. That is, a connector 16 is so held that it can be turned at a certain angle range delta around an axis A-A of the fluorescent tube. A holder 17 is attached to a housing by screws 19 and 19 passing through arc- shaped long holes 18 and 18 so that a projecting part 14 of the fluorescent tube 11, which is projected to the outside of the holder when the holder is attached to the exposure system housing 10 while holding the fluorescent tube 11, can be turned around the axis A-A at the angle delta at least. |
