NEW MATERIAL:3-Chloro-2,6-difluorobenzonitrile. USE:A raw material for various agricultural chemicals and medicines. PROCESS:Trichlorobenzonitrile is reacted with potassium fluoride in an aprotic polar solvent, e.g. dimethyl sulfoxide or sulfolane, at 120-220 deg.C for 0.5-5hr. The raw material trichlorobenzonitrile is obtained by reacting 2,3,6-trichlorotoluene in the vapor phase with air and ammonia gas in the presence of a catalyst, e.g. vanadium-iron, at 350-400 deg.C. |
