O-ACETYLBENZENEAMIDINOCARBOXYLIC ACID, ITS PREPARATION AND ANTITUMOR AGENT CONTAINING THE SAME AS ACTIVE CONSTITUENT

NEW MATERIAL:O-Acetylbenzeneamidinocarboxylic acid of the formula. USE:An antitumor agent expected to give excellent physiologically active substances having a higher activity by the chemical modification of this substance as the basic skeleton though the antitumor activity thereof is not regarded as high. PROCESS:A microorganism capable of producing the O-acetylbenzeneamidinocarboxylic acid, e.g. Gibberella saubinetii IAM-8049 strain, is cultivated under aerobic conditions at 25-35 deg.C to accumulate the O-acetylbenzeneamidinocarboxylic acid in the culture fluid. The resultant O-acetylbenzeneamidinocarboxylic acid is then collected.
