PURPOSE:To improve the magnetic energy efficiency and the S/N and to make the winding work of a coil easy, by winding the coil around the assembly of a main magnetic pole and an auxiliary magnetic pole, providing an auxiliary yoke for one side only and arranging the assembly vertically on the magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:On a magnetic recording medium A, a magnetic shaft 1 of a fine strip made of high permeability magnetic substance is surrounded with a soft protecting member 2 so that the tip of a main magnetic pole 3 can be brought into contact with the surface of a magnetic substance layer 6 and both of them are perpendicular to each other. An auxiliary magnetic pole 5 is formed to be surrounded via a minute gap from the main magnetic pole 3 and a coil 4 is wound arround the magnetic pole 5. One side of a yoke auxiliary magnetic pole 8' has a large area of the opposing part S so that a closed magnetic path is formed from the main magnetic pole to the recording medium and the magnetic pole 8' is provided via a minute air gap from the surface of the recording medium, allowing to improve the magnetic energy efficiency and the S/N and to make the coil winding work easy. |
