PURPOSE:To separate the preceding end of a sheet-like member surely from backing by connecting an air tank which is held under negative pressure via an air valve to a suction means provided in a separating part, and opening the air valve for the slight time upon arrival of the sheet at said part. CONSTITUTION:A perforated roller 11 is provided in proximity to a photosensitive drum 1 on the slightly down stream side in a transfer position, and a driving reller 12 is provided in the conveying direction of transfer paper apart from said roller. An endless belt 13 having many holes is put on these two rollers. A suction box 15 which has a suction fan 14 in the inside and has an opening on the wall surface in contact with the bottom surface of the belt on the upper side, and a suction pipe 16 which contacts slidingly with the inner side of the roller 11 in the position proximate to the photoreceptor 1 and has a slit 16a in the sliding contact part are provided. An air tank 19 is connected to one end of said pipe via a flexible hose 17 and an air valve 18, and an air pump 20 is connected to the tank, whereby a separator 10 is constituted. |
