PURPOSE:To set brazing filler metals easily and surely by applying tacky liquid on the work at the opening ends on the outside circumferential side of its annular gaps through nozzles and applying powder brazing filler metals thereon. CONSTITUTION:The work 7 is directed forward at the opening ends 3a on the outside circumferential side of its annular gaps 3 and respective liquid nozzles 8, 8 which face the top and bottom of the ends 3a, that is, the outside circumferential side 3b and the inside circumferential side 3c are prepared in front of the work. The nozzles 8, 8 are designed to discharge tacky liquid freely, and from the state wherein the work 7 is held in abutment on the nozzles 8, 8 on the side 3b and the side 3c, at least one of the work and the nozzles 8, 8 are turned around the central axial line of the work 7. Thus the side 3b and the side 3c are coated with the tacky liquid over the entire circumference. The excess tacky liquid is removed and after the liquid is dried, a powder brazing filler metal 10 is worked on the end 3a of the work 7, whereby the metal 10 is set at the end 3a. Thereafter the work 7 is heated in the position where the shell 1 exists on the lower side and the core 2 on the upper side in a heating furnace, whereby the work is bound by brazing. |
