PURPOSE:To make a temperature distribution nearly uniform and to improve recording density by providing a disk for temperature regulation on both sides of a group of magnetic disks consisting of plural magnetic disks in the axial- line direction. CONSTITUTION:On both sides in the axis line direction of a magnetic disk group 15 of three magnetic disks 6a, 6b and 6c fitted at prescribed intervals to a hub 7 fixed to the rotary driving shaft 5 of a magnetic disk device, disks 16a and 16b for temperature regulation which are nearly as large as the magnetic disks are fitted to the same hub 7 with the magnetic disks; when they are driven, flows of air between the magnetic disks, a flow of air between the magnetic disks 6a and disk 16a, and a flow of air between the magnetic disks 6c and disk 16c are nearly equalized, so the magnetic disks and respective servo heads, etc., have equal temperature distributions, improving recording density. |
