<p>PURPOSE:To prevent exhaust gas from flowing back to an air cleaner when a reed valve becomes out of order and to inform a driver of the fact, by providing a heat sensitive part in parallel with the reed valve provided in a secondary air passage. CONSTITUTION:When a reed valve 18 becomes out of order, and is remained open, the heat sensitive part 19 detects the temperature of exhaust gas and a temperature fuse 20 is fused and broken. As a result, a coil 14 of a switch valve 13 becomes in the unenergized state, and a valve body 15 closes a vacuum passage 16 to close the part between ports 7b, 7c of an air switching valve 9. Therefore, an exhaust manifold 3 is cut off from the air cleaner 5. Then a lamp 24 is lit to inform a driver of the fact.</p> |
