A foamable resol resin composition comprises a resole resin, a blowing agent and a surfactant, dispersed calcium oxide particles being incorporated in said composition providing a foamable resole composition curable to a non-corrosive foam. Methods for preparing, foaming and curing said non- corrosive foams are disclosed. The composition may also contain an oxalate salt of an alkaline earth metal. |
