<p>The arrangement compensates for length electrical cables enclosed in an elastic protective casing, and involves the cables being wound along a part of their axial length on an elastic cord which, in turn, is attached to both cable ends. A wire is fixed in the cables, enabling the cable outer ends to be drawn out of an operating hose against spring force in the cord. The cord is attached at both its ends to the electric cables by clamp sockets and on the front socket a stop ring is fixed to limit wear on the cord. The principal application for the arrangement is on concrete vibrating pokers used in house building, and where the electrical drive motor is installed in the poker, with power fed to it from the mains supply via cables.
