<p>Method for the preparation of methyl ester of α-aspartyl phenylalanine by reaction of methyl ester of the phenylalanine with the anhydride of N formyl aspartic acid, method wherein the product of said reaction is treated in at least one iron exchange resin column and wherein the β isomer contained in the mixture obtained is isomerized by treatment with acetic anhydride followed by an acidic hydrolysis to transform said β isomer into an α isomer and to provide for the deformylation of said product.</p> |
