FREQUENCY SAMPLING TYPE AUTOMATIC EQUALIZER

PURPOSE:To reduce the time required for initial training, by performing the frequency sampling with a time interval shorter than the repetitive period of a data symbol. CONSTITUTION:A reception signal 201 is sampled with an interval shorter than the repetitive period T of a data symbol at a sampler 202 and applied to a frequency sampling circuit 203. Signals 204-209 corresponding to coefficients of the discrete Fourier transformation (DFT) are obtained from a frequency sampling circuit 3. Out-band noise is eliminated by multiplying zero with the coefficients of the DFT corresponding to the out-band component. Further, a test signal 218 is sampled at the time interval T and interpolated 219 to obtain the same sample number as the reception signal. The automatic equalization by means of the SER algorithm is done for both sampling signals as the least square method to obtain an output signal 234.
