PURPOSE:To certainly separate a paper sheet even if there are differences in size of paper sheets thrown into a hopper or the lower ends of paper sheets are not registered properly by quickening drive of a pickup roller which sends out paper sheets and amending improper registration of said ends. CONSTITUTION:The position of the tip Q1 of a friction member 4c of a feed roller 4 is set behind the engagement point of a gate roller 7 with the feed roller 4 by a distance corresponding to the dimcusion (m) of a paper sheet thrown in. When a tip part P1 of a convex part 5a of a roller 5 fitted on a shaft 4a of the feed roller 4 comes in contact with a roller 3, a pickup roller 2 starts to move and a group of paper sheets is sent out downward, then the friction member 4c of the feed roller 4 is sent out to its engagement part with the gate roller 7 with a phase lag (m). Accordingly, the lower ends of papers can be properly registered through quickly driving a friction member 2a of the pickup roller 2. |
