PURPOSE:To attain the weight reduction and miniaturization of a dot impact type line printer by using as a balancer a printing platen to be moved in a rocking manner with antiphase to a printing hammer bank in such a way as to absorb the vibration of the printing hammer bank. CONSTITUTION:A printing hammer bank 1 is attached such that it can move by a given distance in the right and left directions on two front and rear guide shafts 8 and 8' fixed to a frame 7 and a laterally rocking platen shaft 18. The platen 18 having the platen shaft 9 is provided such that it can move in the right and left directions with a printing paper feed mechanism. As a motor 11 turns, the printing bank 1 makes a sine movement laterally on the guide shafts 8 and 8' by means of an eccentric cam 13 and a crank 14. Whereupon, the platen 18 is made to move in a rocking manner with antiphase to the printing hammer bank through the printing hammer bank 1 and coil springs 10 and 10'. |
