PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal head of high reliability by forming a thermal impact alleviating layer between a grazed layer and a resistant layer. CONSTITUTION:A layer of tantalum pentoxide is formed on a substrate of alumina 6 on which a partial graze 4 is formed. On the substrate, a layer of tantalum nitride which becomes a heat generating resistor and a pattern of chrome-copper-chrome which becomes a lead electrode 3 are formed. Further, a layer of silicon dioxide 2 and a layer of tantalum pentoxide 1 are made to stick to the surface. |
