PURPOSE:To drive guide members correctly, by attaching an optical disc detector to each of two disc guide members, which are arranged in an insertion entrance, on the center side of the insertion entrance and making the line connecting sensing centers of these detectors parallel with moving planes of guide members. CONSTITUTION:Two disc guide members 4 and 4' are provided in the longitudinal direction of a disc insertion entrance and are stood on supporting bases 8 and 8'. Supporting bases 8 and 8' can be moved along guide rails 5 and 5' through pulleys 6 and 6 and are moved differentially by a wire 13 stretched between pulleys 10 and 11 driven by motors which are not shown in figure. Disc guide members 4 and 4' have optical sensors 17 and 17' respectively. The length between optical sensors 17 and 17' is made shorter than that across guide members 4 and 4', and optical sensors 17 and 17' are so arranged that a line X connecting sensing centers is parallel with moving planes of guide members 4 and 4', and driving mechanisms which are not shown in the figure are controlled by outputs of these sensors to drive guide members 4 and 4' differentially. Thus, a disc 2 is loaded correctly independently of the size of the diameter of the disc 2. |
