The invention concerns an apparatus for and a method of processing foodstuffs, in particular dough. The invention concerns in particular such an apparatus (comprising a foodstuff inlet (3), a foodstuff outlet (5), a closed conveyor path extending between the inlet (3) and the outlet (5), and a conveyor device (7, 37, 47) which is adapted to receive the foodstuff fed by the foodstuff inlet (3) and to convey the foodstuff in the conveyor path in the direction of the foodstuff outlet (5), a treatment chamber (21) which is arranged in the conveyor path downstream of the conveyor device (7, 37, 47) for receiving and post-treating the foodstuff, preferably directly adjacent to the conveyor device, and within which a kneading means (22) is rotationally drivably arranged, wherein the kneading means (22) is adapted to fold, stretch and collide the foodstuff in the treatment chamber (21). |
