PURPOSE:To report a failure of a data response signal transmitted from a controller accurately during data transfer, by transmitting a data request/transmission signal virtually, in detecting a failure of the data response signal. CONSTITUTION:An adaptor 2 transmits a Sync In signal virtually for bytes corresponding to the rest bytes without setting on Check End even if Sync out Timing Error is detected. After data transfer, Check End is set on and information representing the generation of the Sync out Timing Error is transmitted on a Bus In. A controller 1 does not detect errors of Check 2 since the Check End is not obtained, and the retrial of the Check End only is done. In case of the Check End error, a sense byte corresponding to the said error is formed and reported to the upper-order device. |
