<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a fused carbonate fuel cell having thin electrolytic layer and easy to enlarge the size, by pressing an electrolyte formed into a sheet through mixing of an aggregate powder for holding an electrolyte and an organic binder on a pair of electrodes facing each other thereby reducing the pressure required in the manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION:An unit cell 6 is composed of an electrolyte layer 5 composed of a pair of electrodes 1, 2 and electrolyte holding layers 3, 4 facing each other. When manufacturing a fuel cell having high capacity, a plurality of said unit cells are laminated through an interconnector and a component for supplying fuel gas and air to said lamination is further provided. Here the electrolyte holding layer is formed such that gamma-lithium aluminate powder as an aggregate powder for holding the electrolyte is added with polyvinyl butyral as an organic binder then the mixture is coated uniformly on a substrate of a core formed by making a needle ceramic into a paper.</p> |
