The method comprises: forming an alignment layer (010) on a carrier substrate (02) to form grooves (A) in the alignment layer (010), forming liquid metal (011) in the grooves (A), the liquid metal (011) comprising a plurality of liquid metal structures (0111), applying an electric field parallel to the length direction x of the grooves (A) on the liquid metal (011) so that each liquid metal structure (0111) is stretched along the length direction x of the grooves (A) to form a rod-shaped structure and the major axis direction of each liquid metal structure (0111) is parallel to the length direction x of the grooves (A), solidifying the liquid metal (011) to obtain the polarizer (01), and peeling off the polarizer (01) from the carrier substrate (02).
