PURPOSE:To measure exposure dose easily and stably with high accuracy without washing the glass of an optical dosimeter by fixing the glass of said optical dosimeter to a glass capsule which is evacuated or is sealed with a dry gas, sealing the same hermetically and measuring the dose with the holder. CONSTITUTION:Columnar glass 1 of a fluorescent dosimeter forms a capsule which is evacuated or is sealed with a dry gas such as gaseous argon. Said glass is fixed in a glass tube 2 with supporting bodies 31, 32 and is sealed hermetically. Such capsule type dosimeter element is fixed in a holder case 6 provided with a filter 7 for correcting dependency upon energy, and in the stage of using the same, UV rays 4 are irradiated thereto while the cap of the case 6 is held removed, then fluorescence is generated from the glass 1, and is measured with a photoelectric multiplier 5. With such constitution, exposure does is measured easily, and stably with high accuracy without the need for washing the glass of the optical dosimeter. |
