PURPOSE:To have a neat storage of sheets with their side edges in line, by furnishing one of the side plates of a cassette with a push plate, which pushes the side edges of sheets stored in the cassette against the other side plate of the cassette, with possibility of moving and tilting. CONSTITUTION:Push plates 11, 16 to make contact with one of the side edges of sheets stored in a cassette 10 are installed at one of the side plates, 10a, of the cassette 10, which can accommodate a number of sheets in a specific format, where these plates shall be possible to move in the direction as approaching to and separating from one of the side edges of the sheets and where the distance of the cassette's 10 side plate from the internal wall shall be changeable at least at the upper and lower parts. A force is applied to these push plates to orient them in the direction as making contact with one of the side edges of the sheets stored in the cassette 10, and among these push plates a one situated on the sheets feeding direction 16 is equipped with a separating pawl 16a for the purpose of separating each sheet. Consequently, the sheets can be housed neatly with their side edges in line regardless of quantity of the sheets stored. |
