The low pressure impure brine is deaerated by mixing with super-heated steam and recovering a liquid product by centrifugal sepn. This is then pressurized to 70 to 100% (pref. 90%) of its critical pressure at a temp. of at least 500 deg.F (pref. 550 deg.F.). The pressurized liquid is next mixed with superheated steam to create a saturated steam product and a residue liquid contg. salts and solids. The steam is sepd. from the residue in a centrifugal chamber. The superheated steam is pref. derived by circulating some of the satd. steam. The appts. upgrades a geothermal brine to produce a pure steam for driving a turbine. |
