PURPOSE:To reduce driving energy required for a brake and surely perform action of the brake, by constituting a device such that sliding motion of a screw shaft is converted into rotary motion of a nut member screwed to the screw shaft to apply the brake to said nut member. CONSTITUTION:If a cylinder 27 is extended, a sliding body 6 and nut member 3 are moved leftward. In accordance with the above movement, a screw shaft 2 is rotated, and its rotary amount is detected by a detector 20. A corresponding relation of 1:1 including the direction is provided between the displacement of the body 6, that is, the cylinder 27 and the detected rotary amount, and the displacement is largely magnified to become the rotary amount. When the detected value is agreed to a preset value, a control signal is output to close a solenoid valve in a fluidic circuit of the cylinder 27 simultaneously operate an electromagnetic brake. Since a turning effect is substantially decreased as compared with thrust force, the brake can be applied against the thrust force only by applying a fine amount of brake force. |
