PURPOSE:To adjust sound volume, stereo balance or the like of audio equipment or the like to match the position of listeners detecting the position by receiving and computing light signals and acoustic signals on the side of the audio equipment as transmitted from the position of the listener. CONSTITUTION:From a transmitter 1 of a listener, a light signal and an acoustic signal, for example, each modulated by 38kHz are transmitted at a point A. The light and acoustic signals are received with a photoelectric conversion transducer 10 and sound-electricity conversion transducers 11 and 12 on the side of the receiver and inputted into a arrival time difference detector 15 after modulated waves are removed with demodulators 13, 13' and 14. Then, necessary time lag pulses (e) and (e') are obtained from the circuit 15. The time lag pulses (e) and (e') of these two kinds of light and sound are inputted separately into an arithmetic circuit 22 to compute distances SR and SL. The positions on the X axis and the Y axis are computed with the arithmetic circuit 22 and applied to a control motor as X output and Y output to run a control motor only for a required time thereby adjusting a stereo balancer and the sound volume of right and left channels. |
