PURPOSE:To obtain an antenna with light weight and high rigidity, by taking double sandwich construction provided with a reinforced sandwich panel at a ground conductor side, decreasing the equivalent dielectric constant of a base and hardly causing the reduction in the surface accuracy. CONSTITUTION:The outside of the ground conductor 4 is reinforced with the sandwich panel comprising a light core 8 such as aluminum honey-comb core coated with surface skins 7a, 7b having high specific rigidity and strength such as carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) and aramide fiber reinforced plastic. This reinforced sandwich panel is fixed to an antenna panel with bonding or screwing or both. In the antenna thus constituted, since the construction having the specified rigidity and weight is obtained by selecting the thickness of the skin of the reinforced sandwich panel or that of the core suitably, th antenna is hardly bent, allowing to prevent the reduction in the electric performance due to insufficient surface accuracy. |
