PURPOSE:To provide a printer which is simplified in operational composition and capable of performing printing accurately and positively at all times by such an arrangement wherein a hammer carrier on which a hammer is mounted is independently composed, being separated from a carrier member wherein group of type plates is accommodated and mounted, so that it can be freely moved independently. CONSTITUTION:A hammer carrier 19 is provided as an independent unit being separated from a basic carrier 10 and additional carrier 17 in which a plurality of type plate are accommodated and mounted, and it is supported so that it can be slidably moved along guide rods 58, 58 by a hammer drive motor 64. A hammer 59 is mounted on the hammer carrier 17, and the carrier 17 is arranged so that it can be freely moved, being separated from carrier members 10, 17, and the reliability of operations is thus improved by separate movement. |
