<p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which reduces friction coefficient and increases seizuring resistance of metals to be hardened, prepared by adding metal oxysulfide organophosphoro-dithioate or metal dithiocarbamate to a base oil. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. is prepared by adding metal oxysulfide organophosphorodithioate of formula I (where M is Mo or W; R is 1-30C alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or alkylaryl; x and y are each a positive integer and x+y=4) (e.g. molybdenum oxysulfide diisopropylphosphorodithioate) or metal dithiocarbamate of formula II (where M, R, m and n are same as in I ) (e.g. molybdenum sulfide dibutyl dithiocarbamate) to a base oil (e.g. paraffinic mineral oil having a kinematic viscosity of 1,5cSt at 100 deg.C). The compsn. forms a black film even or mirror finished or surface treated surface of metal to be hardened, which passivates the hardened material and imparts a lubricating property to it.</p> |
